The Importance of Intentional Brand Design

At Evergreen&Ink, we believe in demystifying the creative world. It can be a complex place and we want to help simplify it! We want to help educate you on the process of brand design and working with a graphic designer. Have you ever wondered why branding your business is so important?

Branding is more than just your logo. Branding incorporates colors, fonts, logos (sometimes multiple!) textures, words, and photography into feelings. How do you want people to feel while interacting with your business? For example: elegant, romantic, graceful, dreamy, fun, creative, expressive, inspirational, organic, authentic, historic, serious, driven, grounded? We want your branding to create an emotional response in your customers and by selecting the right elements we can help create feelings that resonate. Your business represents your values, intent, and spirit; you want to stand out in the best way possible!

Another reason branding is important is because it helps your customers identify and recognize your products. Have you ever gone to purchase something and can’t quite remember what the name of the product is, but you remember the colors, look, and shape of the packaging? Branding can help your customers build trust in your business because they may already use one of your products or services and will buy another because they trust the products from a brand they already use and support. When a customer sees a consistent look and feel across the board (think social media, business cards, website, advertising, product packaging, signage…the list goes on!) they will start to grab and keep people’s attention. If they don’t see consistency throughout, it can be hard to distinguish if things are connected. This is also a great way to stand out from your competitors. What elements of your business do you want to put on display for customers to show them how you differ from others?
